So my wife got my thinking the other day about a short story I wrote for a class years ago. She wanted me to try to turn it into a screenplay.

That, however, did not pan out so I’m working on it as a novel and I may finally have enough of a story to get through the whole thing.

I’ll post more about it as I get along with the story but for now I’m going to keep posting a word count on the right side. This way, I can actually see the progress and it might give me more incentive to do what I need to.

Really? The Karate Kid did almost double what The A-Team did at the box office this week? For shame.

I’m guessing that it is pretty obvious that my crackberry wordpress app hasn’t been used. I honestly thought that I would get some use out of it. Whatever….

Nothing much has really been going on, not doing anything but working, taking care of the hybrid, and sleeping. I’ve come up with some ideas for a couple of things I’d like to do, and spoke to a friend who is willing to collaborate with me on a project. I think it’s going to be fun and may earn us a couple of bucks while we’re at it.

I need to get in touch with my other friend to see if she still wants to work on the project I first pitched to her 11 months ago. Not that I haven’t been in touch with her over facebook or twitter, I just keep forgetting to ask her about it.

And as for facebook, I’ve deactivated my account. Nothing on it has proved useful to me for the past few months so I figured it was time to give it a rest. Feels good to.

What I’m hoping is that the time I spent on facebook I can now turn to working on projects that really interest me.

Or at least not bore me.

Since I haven’t really used my igod touch to post much of anything, I downloaded a wordpress app to my crackberry to see if I can get more out of this blog.

I’m partaking in Scriptfrenzy this year. 100 pages in 30 days. Piece of cake, right? Well, probably not but I will attempt it for no other reason then to try it. And to tell a story.

The parent company, The Office of Letters and Light, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports creative writing in classrooms, communities, and libraries for both children and adults. If you’re feeling up to donating, or care to read more about the program, please visit my Scriptfrenzy donation page. My goal is $175.00.

That’s not too tough, is it?

Still alive, just caught up with life. And work. And fatherhood. And birthdays, holidays, and whatnot.

Be back soon.

You can’t cheat with this. At least not until someone figures out how to hack it.
